Visiting the Cinque Terre on foot

The Cinque Terre are crossed by a dense network of trails. The most famous ones, which make up the Sentiero Azzurro, connect along the coast the villages of Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, and Riomaggiore. Currently, the sections from Monterosso to Vernazza and from Vernazza to Corniglia are open. Both can be walked in about 1 hour and 30 minutes. During the season, access to the trails is subject to a fee. It is possible to purchase individual access tickets or a card (possibly also in combination with the train) valid for one, two, or three days. The card can be purchased at the Cinque Terre National Park information point, inside the Levanto station, or online at https://card.parconazionale5terre.it/
It is also worth walking the trail from Levanto to Monterosso, which runs high along the coast and offers a beautiful view of the entire Ligurian coast of Levante. Access is free, and the walking time is 2 hours and 30 minutes.
